It’s sharp, it’s easy to use, I can complete whole projects without ever needing an electric saw (they scare me. Lol) and my kids love the freedom to make small projects on their own using this saw too!

This is an outstanding blade saw that allows for easy, precise cuts. Great sharps, sturdy handle, and cuts like butter.

This was was a gift for someone else so I haven’t used it. At first look it seems very well made and is light with a comfortable handle. Teeth look proper and appears sharp. It has a light duty cover over the blade but I don’t expect it to last. I believe it was just to protect the blade during shipping.

I have a smaller one for small projects but this larger size works great for most of my work. I like the way it cuts via pulling instead of our way of pushing the blade into the workpiece.

This little saw has been a real treat to use compared to the clunky & clumsy traditional style saw I’ve used my whole life. Despite not looking like much size wise, it’s very capable and has made clean, easy work of tree pruning and DIY wood projects. Starting cuts is much easier and while my skill level doesn’t produce perfectly straight results, the “wandering” that I usually end up with is minimized with this saw. Wish I had known about these sooner!

This Ryoba pull saw lives up to the hype. I can make better, more accurate FREE HAND cross and rip cuts with this than I can make with my old standby Western-style push saw with a miter box or guide.

Cuts are clean, smooth, and FAST. There is a small learning curve as you get used to PULLING to cut instead of pushing, but it took me all of 2 minutes to re-learn.

The kerf is paper thin, so there is less waste. This also means that if you mistreat this saw, you will break its teeth. Be respectful of this fine tool, and it won’t let you down.

The teeth are SHARP, so use care when handling this saw.

When this eventually wears out, I’ll NEVER go back to a Western-style push saw.

Anyone familiar with this style of saw will recognize that this tool is a solid choice. Granted there is nothing complex here. This is a simple tool, but the blade is high quality and super-sharp. I broke the blade on my previous one, but even after many, many uses the blade stayed sharp until the end.

I’ve owned a number of pull saws and this is a good one. It’s firm enough that it won’t bend while cutting but still thin enough to make a nice narrow cut. I mainly use it to cutoff the last bit of wood on a bowl tenon so it’s light work but requires sharpness and a little rigidity, it’s perfect for my application.
