My Volvo 960 wagon was damaged by a hit and run about a year ago. Unfortunately, Volvo no longer makes a replacement bumper, and I couldn’t find one at the local junk yard after an exhaustive search.

It’s inspection time, and I need to put my bumper back on. I purchased the WEP 960V to help me repair the sheared and torn plastic pieces damaged by the impact. I was immediately impressed, the instructions are very good, and the tool is intuitive to use. I appreciated that the manufacturer included a set of cutters for the staples, but they performed poorly and deformed on the first cut. I have other side cutters in my toolbox, so I just tossed the included ones and used my own.

For the price, this was a tremendous buy, and I can see myself tackling a bunch of additional plastic repair projects that I have been putting off.

So, I broke the cover off the passenger mirror on my Ram Pickup. I keep hooking the thing on my garage door pulling out. Instead of spending $150 on a new mirror I thought I would give this a try. Holy cow is this thing fast and easy to use. I wouldn’t count on it looking as “good as new” when you are done with the project, but putting broken plastic pieces back together instead of buying something new, this thing is really cool and easy.
I might add, I am gadget guy. I have an entire garage full of gadgets to fix one thing or another and to make stuff. I never had a way to work on plastic before. Now I am looking around for things with damage to the plastic to see if I can fix it. Totally worth $20.

I can’t say for sure because I was using pretty thin plastic and it melted right through it so definitely don’t use on thin plastic it’s pretty straight forward product it’s cheap so if you need something to just get the job done this is it but go somewhere else for thin plastic don’t make my mistake

Does work very well just remember not to push too hard or the insert will melt all the way through the tool for cutting. The leftover ends is a little cheap. Get a good pair of Dykes.

If it was made in America i’d give it a 5. Great for repairing plastic parts.

Bought this for my Audi bumper repair. I used it to stich it together and when I was done I put a fiberglass repair over it with a JB weld product. Came out great!
