Ok. This was a crazy deal IMHO and am totally not regretting it. It cooks evenly and yes it is true, you use less oil with it. The ONLY thing I can gripe on is it takes a ridiculous amount of time to get truly hot. But once hot you are cooking! No regrets!

I wanted a pan that could handle large quantities of things like fried rice and spaghetti sauces. This pan heated up well and maintained a consistent temperature. The clear lid makes it easy to check on cooking status and the vent hole helps to release moisture. I was very happy with the packaging and delivery time. Glad that I bought it.

We recently moved to be near family & left behind most of our household items.
Our son has this same sauté pan & uses it frequently. He insisted that I buy one, esp. since he watched a cooking show where Gordon Ramsey recommended T-Fal without a paid endorsement.
Back in the “Stone Age” of my cooking days, I probably would have used a small, or medium, stockpot to cook a family meal. The sauté pan makes it easier to see that all ingredients are thoroughly cooked. And the handle on the other side makes it easier to control moving the pan on the stove.
Clean-up is easy, which is good for me because I have some mobility issues, but I let my son show me how it’s done. (lol)

This review is for the T-fal B36290 Specialty Nonstick 5 Qt. Jumbo Cooker Sauté Pan with Glass Lid, Black, which was ~$20 at the time of purchase.
This has been a great pan for me. I’m a single guy, 40 years old, who has mostly had other people cooking my meals for the majority of my life. First it was mom, and then the various female partners that I’ve had over the years. A couple years ago I entered a phase of my life wherein I am flying solo; doing me, if you will. (you do you boo). This has been all fine and dandy, but after living off mostly fast food and take out for the first year, I’ve had to learn to prepare my own meals. I’m tired of pizza, hamburgers, and chinese food.
So I needed some tools for the job right? I was under the impression that a pan is a pan. Its a metal thing that you apply heat to, and lay your food on top of it until its ready to eat right? Wrong. After buying a few of the cheapest pans I could find I learned the hard way, not all pans are created equally. I bought a cast iron pan a while back, and while that was a definite improvement over the seven dollar non-stick pan I’d been using, it was also a huge pain to maintain.
Enter the T-fal B36290 Specialty Nonstick 5 Qt. Jumbo Cooker SautĂ© Pan with Glass Lid, Black. I’ve had this pan for a month or so, and I basically cook all of my meals in it now. Mostly chicken breast, or ground turkey, along with an array of frozen veggies. This pan does a great job. It heats evenly, Is big enough to handle just about anything I want to toss in it, and things have never stuck to it at all as of yet. The coating seems to be holding up, and cleaning could not be easier. So far so good. Definitely worth the twenty bucks I spent on it.

This pan is awesome! It is deep enough that I can do my stir fry in it. I liked it so much I night a 2nd one. Cleans up easy, nothing sticks to it, and it holds a lot.

I had purchased one of the deep “chef’s pans” during a sale, and loved it so much that I used it almost daily for about 6 years. The occasion use of metal utensils for serving (not cooking) damaged the non-stick coating, so ultimately I bought this to replace it, and not get angry .. I had purchased several other more expensive pans, but the depth and thickness of this one is just right for an amateurish cook like me, who rarely uses high heat.
The pan didn’t warp till it was repeatedly immersed in cold water while still hot

The pan is very large and easy to clean. The nonstick surface makes frying foods easy.

I purchased this as a gift for my 82 year old mother. She just didn’t have the strength for a heavy cast iron anymore. This pan is half the weight and of excellent quality. It’s very durable and heats evenly across the surface. Nice little vent hole in lid. The instructions for reading the center spot that’s supposed to turn red when it’s fully heated could be a little clearer. Had to experiment to figure out what part of the circle is supposed to turn red. Not a deal breaker! This pan is a 10 out of 10!

When we bought a new set of cookware for the learning kitchen, I added this pan to the order., as it matched the set we had purchased, as well as it was the same manufacturer.
The thermospot is very handy, as you can tell if the pan is up to heat without overheating and possibly damaging your non-stick surface.
This pan is a good size that can handle a family, or in our case a class, a nice well fitting lid rounds out the pan with a vent hole that helps keep the lid from fogging over, and also serves as a good place to insert your temperature probe.
I rated the scratch resistance as a four star, though I have not had an issue with this pan, but history will tell that this surface will scratch easier than a stainless steel or iron pan would.
This is all in all a good pan, and the most used pan in the kitchen.

These are great pans for the price, almost untouchable! I have great collection of pan brands, each for a specific purpose. From All Clad to a 100 year old cast iron.
This pan is the best non-stick pan I’ve used, and I tried many!
However always understand that non-stick always wear out in 9 to 24 months, depending on usage so it is not a forever pan, but the price and availability make this a consistent repeat buy, every 12 months for me, a great find.
