I love the size and weight of this saw. I am using it for wood crafts and it’s perfect for my needs. Cutting thru tree bark was simple and quick.

I bought this second one as a gift to my son because I like mine so much. Like a backsaw in operation but very thin kerf and cuts as least as quickly as a regular crosscut with less effort. I am able to crosscut much more accurate 90 degrees on 2x4s with this than a regular crosscut. Prefer it to circular saw because it is relaxing, light, and set up is much easier for me. Cuts are very smooth, requiring much less sanding. The blade is very thin, but kept edge well and strong if used properly. (Pull stroke, don’t force) Think razor blade. I loved my old Disstons but they got dull and I kept putting off sharpening them. Now I won’t have to.

The product photos are deceptive, giving the impression that the blade is taller than it is, and the height measurements are not stated. Below the band, it is actually only 1-7/16″H at the handle end, and 1-13/16″H at the far end. It does make a very smooth cross cut, just as smooth as a miter saw. I have trouble getting it started though, when trying to cut horizontally next to a line, because it slides around and won’t stay in position. To cross cut, I have to start on one edge and saw through that corner at an angle, then do the same on the other side, then I can bridge those 2 cuts to finish the middle.

I needed to trim a post in a very restricted space and the Suizan pull saw was perfect for the project. It was also easier to use than I expected, and I’ve since used it for several bush pruning projects. Overall, a great saw for smallish boards or branches. I wish I’d purchased one of these years ago.

This is a great little saw and has quickly replaced several western Gents saws because it cuts better, is easier to control, and the saw kerf is much smaller. It’s a fantastic saw and I highly recommend it!

This is an amazing tool. It’s like cutting a slice of bread with a funky knife. I didn’t know they existed, otherwise I would have bought one long time ago

I love this saw. It’s insanely sharp and easy to use effortlessly, I just wish I could cut a little bit deeper with it.

Summary: if you hold a mirror up near your mouth and it fogs up – then buy this. If you think you might ever have to cut something in the next decade or two, or even if you don’t think you will (you will) – buy this. You’ll be trying to figure out how to make that small cut on that weird object, you’ll remember you have this saw, you’ll think to yourself “man I’m so glad I listened to that random Amazon review,” then you open up the Amazon app, find the product listing, scroll down, find this random review, let out a small singular laugh to yourself, and then you up-vote the review.

Actual review: This is one of the products I had to go back and review just because it was so great. I bought this 3.5 years ago and have used it very heavily, and it still cuts like the day I got it.

Works great on any wood, and any plastics I’ve come across (PVC, Nylon, PTFE, even PEEK and PVDF). Even cut rubber with it (though would not be my recommended method).

It’s great for just about any fine cutting I need. Admittedly I use machinery (miter saw, table saw, router, etc) for most cuts, so I figured I wouldn’t use this much. I was wrong. I use it all the time, particularly for unusual shaped cuts.

It leaves an ultra-fine finish and is very easy to cut straight and square. Could not ask for a better saw for only ~$30.

Used this mini saw to cut down some bar stools to fit our shorter counters. They turned out great! Super Happy with this purchase, saved me money to not have to buy new seats . It was an easy enough process , just measure, cut down , and sand the bottom of the legs so they don’t splinter. Getting them nice and level took a little time, but definitely worth it. Even after cutting through 16 chair legs , the saw is still in great shape. No teeth missing and not even dull. Just waiting for my next project .
