I’m a quilter and my sewing room is about 10×10 feet, which makes for a tight fit. My previous cutting table was falling apart, being one of those foldaway models. It also had zero storage except for all the space beneath it. Made my sewing room look very mess and feel very crowded, so I opted to replace it with something of similar size but solid and with plenty of storage. This looked to be the best fit, and it met with almost identical specs as the foldaway.

This arrive two weeks earlier than scheduled, which was a huge surprise. It also took less than an hour to assemble. The pieces are heavy, so my husband held some things in place and helped me set it upright. He’s no good at building things, and he knows it. I do recommend having an extra set of hands to help you with the lifting.

Beneath the four feet I have sliders so I can move this away from the wall to access the other side of it where more things are stored. Everything that was under my cutting table fits inside this one, as well as a few things that were tucked away in drawers and on my sewing table.

The first pic is before, and the rest are after. It’s not as wide, being about 3 inches narrower, but with four inches still to spare, which is fine. It’s the same length though, and has given me more space. When my ironing board is unfolded, I can side it and move out more easily than with the previous table. It’s also much sturdier! No wiggling, which the other one had plenty of.

For clarification, I’m 5’2″ and not particularly strong. I put all the furniture together because my husband somehow manages to have pieces leftover and act confused when stuff falls apart. This was a very easy thing to put together, the instructions are clear, lots of diagrams and pictures, all written in layman’s terms with large font. There’s also a good giggle in the instructions suggesting snacks. This didn’t take long enough to make me hungry, but I did have a snack afterwards.

The draws hold 20 lbs each, the shelves 30 lbs each. I won’t be needing to put anything impressively heavy in or on them, but it’s good to know what they can manage. Six bins of scraps, a few containers with random things, the drawers are full of things I commonly use, and my ADHD brain is delighted to have all my tools in one place rather than spread about wherever I can fit them.

Got this for my wife and set it up for her. We’ve gotten probably a dozen different build it yourself style pieces of furniture in the past but this is one of the sturdiest I’ve put together. The table is a good weight, definitely takes some heavy lifting to get it into place, but there’s no worry about it tipping or moving around when using it. There was a lot of screws involved and I ended up hurting my hand from using the screwdriver so much, I’d recommend maybe using an electric screw driver on the lowest possible setting just to save your hands. The instructions were pretty straightforward though. The table looks really nice, the pieces fit together perfectly and there aren’t any really noticeable flaws in it. I was a bit concerned because this price point was quite a bit higher than I would usually spend on something like this, but it ended up being worth it.

For the cost of over $500, this piece is not worth that much money. Pressed board. Drawers come out with no stop. The only thing keeping it together is the metal pieces. The wood is just pressboard. I would have thought it was made better. Missing dowels and screws. Was able to get some to finish putting it together. Top shelves only hold 30 pounds each. The small area at the bottom holds 60 pounds but is smaller. I wish I would have found something at IKEA for much less.

This is a nice hobby table with storage flexibility. Had to modify the bottom storage to maximize space when pushed against a wall; as it was designed for access on both sides. Overall a nice height and good size sturdy working surface.

Appears sturdy and fits the room nicely. I’ll add to this review after use. The delivery date was delayed twice and then finally it said shipped. After another month and an hour on the phone, they declared it lost. They canceled my order while I was on the phone and told me to order a new one. I did. You must be home to sign for the delivery. The second one came unexpectedly three days before the actual planned delivery. Luckily I was home. Now I am getting a notice that they are waiting for my return of the first item. The one that had canceled. I actually like Sauder products, however, I don’t think I would order from them again on Amazon.
Edit: I do love this table, and how organized it has made my sewing of quilts. I have forgotten about the delivery, which truly has not much to do with the quality of merchandise or how wonderful the table is.

This is the best thing ever! Fairly easy to assemble, took 2 of us about 1.5 hours. Not a one person job. Good instructions, but you’ll need a stubby Phillips screwdriver and they don’t tell you that. I love love love my new craft table! Sturdy, perfect height for standing work, and great size. Only difficulty is that the drawers don’t have anything to hold them on track, so when you pull them out, the front drops way down….but it’s still pretty great. Worth every penny.

I absolutely love my craft table! This table is very sturdy and the table top wipes off easily. I used hot glue and was able to wipe off the top easily. I finally have a great space to cut fabric too. I had three projects going on the top at once yesterday. There is so much room! My older daughter and sister-in-law loved it so much that they are going to buy one.
It was surprisingly easy to put together. The directions are some of the best I have seen. It did take my husband and me two hours to put together. There are a lot of parts and we were each putting in screws and other parts.
It does not take up as much room as I thought it would. You could put it against the wall if you wanted. The drawers slide through, so you can pull the same drawer open on either side of the table. The top three shelves also go all the way through to the other side. So those basket that I have can be pulled from either side. The bottom three shelves have a back, so you have three 10″x 12″ shelves on one side and three on the other. If one long side was against the wall, you would loose the storage of the bottom three shelves. Even then it would still be a great table to have!
