Ordered this as an upgraded desk for my home office and it’s perfect! I have another piece by Sauder in the same room and it matches well. The desk is sturdy, there’s a nice amount of table top space and the drawers work well. There’s also enough space underneath that you can easily fit your legs under, which is great. When I originally received the desk there was sadly some damage to the top piece. I called Sauder and 4 days later I had the piece and it’s perfect – fantastic customer service even with all that’s going on right now! I’d definitely recommend them – and this desk 🙂

This is a very nice desk, love the color, arrived with no broken parts, I am a 70 year old female and I put this together. Took my time and read the directions. I always try to buy Sauder products.

I was able to set this desk up very quickly. It seems to be very high quality and is very sturdy. It goes really well with the other furniture from this line as I have the larger desk in my office as well.

This is a big inconvenience. I purchased this desk that said it was “eligible for return,” yet it’s not as easy as it sounds. I spent 3 hours putting it together and then the top of the desk would not fit onto the legs. A hole in the corner of the top of the desk wasn’t big enough for a dowel on a leg. I tried everything to get it to fit but the dowel was too large for the hole. Since the rest of the legs were glued onto the top I couldn’t unattach the top. Not only that but the desk was sent to me with a scratch on the top.
By this time I felt really ill. I was seriously nauseous! The strong smell of the new desk, the heat, and stress, plus hard work really took its toll. I called Amazon and they said that I had to have another company called Pilot schedule a time to pick up the defecetive desk that I had just about competely put together. Amazon said I would have to take and fill out the information on this other companies website to have them pick up the desk. Also, they said it would take 7 to 14 business days after the defective desk reached them, for me to get a refund. I can’t believe how inconvenient this all is. I don’t recommend.

I don’t usually assemble furniture but recently purchased this desk & a bookshelf from this company & the assembly wasn’t bad at all. It arrived a day early & I had no missing or damaged parts. I just wish there was more desk space but I have just enough room to do what I need to do. It looks really nice & has a nice weight. If you need a simple & stylish desk, I’d say get it.
I just put the desk together last night so I’ll update a little later.

Very frustrating to get most of it put together only to have the top of the desk not fit properly because the holes don’t line up. It sits crooked. Because of this the drawers are not usable. The desk is very heavy for me. To get a replacement or full refund I would have to painstakingly take it apart, fit it back into the box, and haul it down to a UPS store. It’s so heavy, I can’t even drag it. I called Amazon support and they gave me a small partial refund which was all they were allowed to do by the company. I was hoping for better but what can you do? I would not advise buying this unless you are able to return it without a problem. It looks like they’ve been having a lot of problems with defects on this item. I wish they would have let me keep it and refund it completely. I thought this was a reputable company.

Got this for my son’s birthday almost half a year ago. It was easy to put together and looks better than its price point. It’s held up good so far. I call that value!

This is a good desk. To be honest, I was pretty impressed with the quality, especially given that its wood veneer and mostly particle board. It seems to be pretty durable, much better quality than most wood veneer items I’ve seen (such as Target furniture). The instructions for assembly are easy to follow and each piece of the desk is labeled to make it even easier to piece together. You don’t need a lot of tools either, just a screwdriver. I don’t, however, recommend assembling it by yourself. I did, but moving those heavy and long and awkward pieces around made me wish someone was there to help. When I put one of the drawers in, it wouldn’t close at first. I had to push it down (it didn’t break) to make it close. I was hoping in doing so I could even out the drawer which I think was jyst every so slightly lopsided. Thankfully, it worked. (Pardon the mess in the photo–I’m still moving in.)
