I have been using a deterrent that contains methyl nonyl ketones and it was so noxious.
This is a lovely heavy floral that weirdly enough is alot like the smell of funeral parlors… I’ve been to alot
So far my marking dog has avoided the couch cushions and it sitting on top. She’s sniffed around her usual spots but hasn’t marked yet.

This works great on cleaning up dog messes in the house. The scent is pleasant and not overbearing for the humans!

After trying several other products that didn’t work, I purchased this because my 7 month old male Morkie puppy can’t seem to consistently hit the pee pads. Sadly, this hasn’t helped at all. He still marks his toys & bed, and pees anywhere he pleases. If anything, I think this stuff draws him to “mark here” instead of repelling him.

I was trying to discourage a dog I’m caring for temporarily to stay away from a corner of my living room that he likes to lift his leg to piddle in. I can see that he recognizes the smell after an application but the product instructions say to apply it daily, if I’m not mistaken, which is over the top. It’s a heavy, oily spray too. It might be a better product for training puppies than for discouraging older dogs to stop chewing something or stop piddling somewhere. I probably won’t buy this again. I’ve used similar products that didn’t need to be applied often.

My parents received the dog at the age of five, but the previous owners were not good about training the dog. She does use puppy pads, but she also randomly potties around the house. I did a little research and landed on this product. After a week or so she’s stopped using the bathroom in random places. She goes outside or on a puppy pad. This is an excellent product from what minimal use we’ve gotten from it. Highly recommended!!!

I used this for a couple of weeks on the dogs floor area and now my puppy is house trained!
I sprayed it right before I let them in and put down puppy pads. Now puppy pads are gone and she’s potty trained in less than 2 weeks.

I sprayed this on my bed and immediately 2 of my 3 cats ran out of the room blinking their eyes and cringing. The 3rd decided she was ok with the smell and jumped on the bed and layed down. The cat that was peeing on the bed was one that left the room. eventually he came back into the room but did not want to be on the bed. So, does it prevent them from peeing on the bed? Yes, it does. But it isn’t some magic elixir that makes them not want to pee there. In fact, after about 24 hours, the smell wears off and the cat will pee on the bed again.
It is definitely recommended. Especially when you can’t keep the cat out of the space and don’t have time to constantly pay attention. Spray this on the bed once or twice a day and the cat will stay off, unless it is the one that doesn’t mind the smell. Herding cats is such fun! Not!

I have older dogs who developed a hobby for marking and I bought this. It works good initially when sprayed and they will steer clear of the sprayed places. However 8-10+ hours later the spray is useless and they’re back to pissing everywhere in my house. ~ would I recommend? – not really because it’s not a long term solution. if you’re just trying anything to prevent marking this is the perfect product. ~ also if you like the smell of citronella and kind of peppery scents then this shouldn’t bother you too much. I actually don’t mind the smell.

I got a repellent to aid in my dog using his pads. He is fully trained but got to the age where he wants mark. This is the 2nd type I’ve tried. The 1st works really good & decent smell. I just had to spray it daily and it wasn’t a large bottle for like $16. Wanted to try something less expensive, larger quantity, that actually worked. And it did!! Works really good!!! Do not have to spray everyday, horrible smell but once sprayed it last maybe 15 min or less and the smell is completely gone . Definitely will recommend and I will be getting more.
