Description
The Huot Tap and Drill Bit Index holds up to 18 taps and drill bits in National Coarse (NC) tap sizes #6-32 to 1/2″-13 and drill bit sizes #36 to 27/64″, and is made in USA. The labeled storage holes provide quick identification and organization. Tap sizes include #6-32, #8-32, #10-24, #10-32, 1/4″-20, 5/16″-18, 3/8″-16, 7/16″-14, and 1/2″-13. Drill sizes include #36, #29, #25, #21, #7, F, 5/16″, U, and 27/64″. The index is made of steel with an epoxy finish and has a snap-lock cover for durability and protection. Taps and drill bits are not included. The index is 7 × 4 × 1.25 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.)Cutting tool organizers provide storage, organization, and quick size identification for drill bits, taps, and reamers. A great way to keep your drill bits and taps together and very well made. Bought this one for a friend because I’ve had one of these 4 years.

You can organize your drills and taps next to each other for easy access. This way you dont have to take your chart out and find out what drill bit and tap you need. With this box, you have them next to each other! This is my second one I got! One for home and one for the job!

Wow, for the longest time I had a homemade index in my box because I didn’t know they had an index like this. This index is top notch. The only thing I wish is that you could put two of each size taps in so that I could have a taper tap and bottom tap in the same box. I guess I’ll just have to buy another one for my bottom taps

I was hoping the case would hold several taps with their respective drill bits, but the hole sizes and depth of the slots did not match the tap sizes well. The allowance for the taps could have been better. The case itself is well built and sturdy. If I only stored drill bits it would be perfect.

This is a great way to organize your taps. Beats having them all laying around banging up against one another. Huot makes great indexes. Top of the line. They are sturdy and don’t fall apart. I have several and have also had them for several years and not once have I had them fall apart. Every job I have had working maintenance the guys have always had these. When you see these indexes time and time again in everyone’s toolboxes then you can’t help to try them out. It’s just one of those things that if you have taps you need a tap index. Beats having the big plastic cases taking up a lot of space. Trust me when I say get one because you will be glad you did.
