Description
This 48-Inch extendable pry bar is the largest in the indexing pry bar series from GEARWRENCH. Useful for repositioning equipment, prying and aligning vehicle components, and general purpose prying applications. An indexing head enables access to tough spots no ordinary pry bar can reach. Extendable at the push of a button from 29-Inch to 48-Inch and many spots in between. A must have item for your tool box.

I’ve been wanting an adjustable pry bar for a while, and when this one came up on sale over Black Friday weekend, I ordered one. The head can be locked at your desired angle with well over 108* of adjustability, and the handle is actually 2 pieces that telescope with each other that have a catch every couple inches so you can adjust both the pry angle as well as the length of the leverage bar. Everything about it screams heavy duty, and so far it has worked flawlessly. To swivel the pry head you have to press a release against a pretty strong spring that requires either good grip strength or something like pliers to help you press it, but IMO that also makes it less likely to slip or move when you don’t want it to.
Overall, very well made and very stout.

I’ll have this forever. It’ll let me pop a stuck CV axle out with ease. The adjustable claw makes all the difference.
Allowed me to test my suspension parts easily

There are just those times when you occasionally need a little extra persuasion on something trying to be stubborn. This adjustable pry bar is just the ticket. I have used this type of pry bar at work and fell in love with it, so I had to get one for my personal use. Often, what needs attention can be hard to access, or at an odd angle. The adjustable head and telescoping handle on this tool is a very good concept, as it for insures the tool will work in most areas it is needed. I would recommend buying the smaller version as well, then any need one might have for prying should be covered. I am happy with purchase.

Perfect prybar, fits in a standard rolling cab snap on toolbox lower drawer, great detent in the adjustable claw, perfect knurling, great length locking, epic hassle free warranty if anything ever happens to it. Worth every penny

There are times where this is too bulky to fit where I want it, but it’s well built. Very handy that it retracts to a smaller size for storage. I like it and would recommend if you need a huge pry bar.

Well built. Strong like you would want it to be. Easy to adjust

I’ve had multiple of these prybars, and will always have one. I’ve got one at home and one at work currently. The indexing head and extendable handle allow you to get this thing into almost any position needed. I can not recommend this enough to mechanics and maintenance technicians.

You will wonder how you ever worked without an indexing prybar once you have one.
Extendable handle is even more of a bonus.
The only complaint with is my fault is I used the handle as a hammer (more like a pool Que) to pound something and I bent the pin the locks the handle slide so now the spring doesn’t pop it into the lock position without some fiddling.
So I bought this new one to replace the 5 year old one I abused.
I really can’t complain they have been great.
