I’d purchased a desk almost identical to this one at Walmart 7-8 years ago, and used it until a piece broke during a recent move. The desk is very good for small spaces and is lightweight and easy to disassemble for moving, a good option for sending a student off to college.
The one downside is that the keyboard tray on this model seems to be much lower than the one on my previous desk. I have to lower my chair all the way down to be able to pull it forward, which is an uncomfortable way to sit for someone around 6′ tall. You’ll likely have to place the keyboard on the top of the desk with the monitor, which eliminates writing space.
Assembly hit a bit of a snag when the screws for the keyboard tray dug out a hole instead of digging into the board, but was able to use wood glue to adequately secure the tray to the railing piece.
Bottom line, you’re not getting a nice home office for ~$25, but it is a serviceable computer stand for the money that should last for at least a few years.

This is a nice looking computer desk. I needed one to fit a small space and it is perfect. It wobbles a bit. The instructions were somewhat difficult to follow. The installation of the keyboard drawer was particularly difficult for me. It took two tries to get it functional. I did not try to install the drawer stops at all. But for the money, it is a good functional desk.

Well it did take forever and some additional time to review this product and i actually still wanted to wait until I put the printer underneath to see how it would really hold up, but I’m sure it won’t make much difference, but I will most definitely check the total weight limit before adding the printer to the bottom. Ok about the desk, it’s ok. I wasn’t expecting an exceptional piece of office decor for 44 bucks, but what I didn’t expect to see was such a lack of durability so soon after being put together, but here we are. Although purchased some time ago, it has only been set up and used for a little over a month. OMG there’s no sturdiness at all. Even when the desk is simply being pressed upon while writing, the entire desk shakes. Also, the piece where the keyboard sits is very loose and shaky as well. In fact, when I use it, I actually have to sit with my feet on a stand that will allow the keyboard tray to rest on my lap because I’m afraid it’s gonna collapse while typing. It will be replaced NO DOUBT but not until it retires itself to the crappy computer desk graveyard.

We ordered this to hold a small monitor and computer. It was easy to put together but it is so flimsy and wobbly. We are using it for the moment but we will be getting something more stable VERY soon.

Ok, I finished putting together my son’s desk. I don’t understand all the bad reviews but come on now this is a 20 some dollar desk. Of course it’s going to be fake wood and you have to handle it carefully and be patient. Also don’t rush. I don’t get people in today’s world if you want perfection you have to pay extra for that. Also, this type of desk is made for kids and maybe even a small teenager. Of cours it’s not sturdy if your trying to put a whole pc desktop, a hard drive on it and your whole office on it. Sheesh! Hint, the weight capacity is 15 at top 5 for key board and 15 for bottom. I also made a change to it. Instead of putting the bottom shelf on bottom I just move it up so my son’s wheels from his chair can fit under the table and also ablt to reach his pencils and books when online with his teacher. Great desk.

Prior to purchasing this unit, I did read a lot of the reviews where folks thought that the desk was somewhat wobbly and that is basically true. However, you need to understand that it is incredibly impressive that the manufacturer was able to produce this thing and sell it for under $27. After all, what do you expect for that price? I am a cabinet builder and the reason I purchased this was because I did not have the time to build one and I could not have done it for this price. I actually like the desk and it works well for my application for my 9 year-old granddaughter. It was also mentioned that this desk will not take a lot of abuse and I think that is also true. So, keep your expectations realistic for the price. If you don’t abuse the thing and you secure it to a wall so that it does not wobble, you will probably get many years of service from it. However, if you were expecting to pay $27 for a fancy piece of furniture that could be passed down through the generations as an heirloom, then this is not for you and you will be disappointed. One final recommendation… The instructions should be corrected. They tell you to attach the drawer stops as the final step before inserting the draw into the rails. Clearly, the person who wrote the directions never put one together and, by the way, the drawer stops are not shown in the photo on Amazon. I’m wondering if they were an afterthought. Anyway, you want to install the drawer stops and install the drawer into the rails in step 3, before you screw in the front part E. If you wait until the unit is fully assembled, the drawer stops will not allow you to insert the drawer into the rails. I followed the directions and I had to take the desk apart again and do it like I described. If you do it their way, you will quickly realize the problem. Don’t try to force the drawer in place or you will most likely break something. Also, do not over tighten any of the screws. You are screwing into press-board and if you over tighten the screws they will actually damage the press-board and no longer hold. You just want to snug them down a little. The tubes should be hand tight only. Don’t use pliers or anything like that to tighten them or you will most likely damage them. They are very thin plastic and should be hand tightened only. Finally, I found the directions for installing the drawer rails somewhat confusing because the drawings are very small and don’t show a lot of detail. I found it helpful to log into Amazon and look at the 360 view of the desk to see how it all should look. They do not include any actual photos in with the directions. Just line drawings that are rather small and not all that detailed. If you know how it all goes together, then assembly is 10 minutes. If you need to figure it out, like I did, then you can plan on an hour. That’s it folks. My recommendation is buy it if you keep your exceptions in line with what you are paying.

Fair price for product. Assembly instructions are ok, but attaching the rolling computer tray is confusing using only pictures. Overall quality average.

Terrible… The item came damaged. The wood was dented in multiple spots around the edges. There were scuff marks on the top and bottom pieces. The legs are made of cheap PLASTIC, which I didn’t read that anywhere in the description. I could have missed it, but I didn’t see it. The pieces were not labeled to where they were suppose to go so I had to use common sense to build it. BTW you literally have to build this thing piece by piece. The sucky part I couldn’t even return it because I was starting work from home in two days. So I just decided to keep it. The only plus is the size because it fit perfectly where I needed it. Bottom line this desk is cheap… So you get what you paid for… Don’t expect anything grand!
