This is an affordable cargo liner for my 2012 Nissan Cube. The cut outs provided on this mat didn’t provide a good fit. To fix this, all I did was place the Cube’s existing nylon mat atop and cut the liner a quarter inch larger around the perimeter. Easy peasy! Now I can throw our wet towels and bathing suits in the cargo area without a worry. Cheeeehooo! Shaka to da maddah, cuzin, unko, braddah, faddah!
UPDATE: There is a STRONG petroleum smell. Perhaps the mat needs to be rinsed and aired out. I did initially smell it after opening the package. I unrolled it and let it sit out for a few days. But now that it is in an enclosed space, the smell is lingering. Waiting for it to dissipate as stated in a previous review.

The Universal Fit Black Cargo Mat proved to be an excellent purchase. Its generous size allowed ample trimming to achieve a custom fit, which I did for a KIA Rio hatchback. However, be aware that the mat emits a strong odor and requires airing out before use. Nonetheless, it represents a fantastic value for a car mat.

I like it a lot. Good price. It made my trunk so neat looking. The only complain I have is the rubber smells so strong . I put it a night before I went to work . As soon as I was driving the next morning, my car smells like there’s a gasoline spilled inside my car. My nose got rritated. What I did was, my car air condition is blowing high and pointing into my face and open my car window a little . Everything else is good

Fits my 2012 Honda civic nicely. Didn’t cut for extra coverage. Very strong battery plastic smell, I had to put it outside in the sun to try and cut the scent.

I’d say I’m satisfied because it does what its intended to do. – Provide a layer of protection for the trunk..
– because it’s “universal” or what not, I had a lot more material on the sides than I did with the top of it. You can see in the pictures it doesn’t cover the entirety of the trunk. (I did see that in some reviews, but the bulk of items carried wouldn’t be that far back so I’m not too concerned about that)
– It is very thin, but it is easy to cut. Initially I used the straight edge you see pictured, to get in the grooves. I soon realized that actual scissors would be easier based on having to cut around the humps in the trunk.
– It didn’t take long to cut at all. The material makes it effortless (with scissors ) to cut. What I did was – I laid it out in the trunk and cut around until it was flat. Might be better to trace it with a marker or such and take it out the trunk and then try to cut it. Whatever you find to be easier, I was at work when I did it so I didn’t want to do too much in the parking lot.
– For the price .. I can’t complain too much honestly. You get what it is you pay for and it does the job.
*I’d recommend this product if you’re on a budget and just need something, anything to protect your trunk. Or if you’re looking for something real quick until you get a thicker, more heavy duty mat.

It was easy to cut and customize to my jeep compass cargo area. Does its job for the cheap price. The only drawback is the terrible chemical smell that it still has after 2 full weeks of being in my jeep!!!

The one star rating is caused by two factors. One factor is that it doesn’t fit my SUV, although it says it does, which forced me to buy two for coverage (at this price, why not?).
HOWEVER, the much more important factor is the smell. The reviewers who said it had a bad smell aren’t being truthful. The truth is, this smell goes FAR beyond “bad”, it’s TOXIC.
When I got the first one, I unraveled it, saw it didn’t fit, and put it aside while I ordered the other one, which came the next day. As I was going into the garage to install both, I noticed a STRONG gasoline odor, so strong my first thought was that my gas tank had been punctured. I was afraid to start my car because of the fumes, it smelled like my car was sitting in a puddle of gasoline!
After looking around, I realized that my car was intact, so maybe the odor was coming from my wife’s car, but when I walked over to her car, the smell became weaker…and then I realized…the culprit was the mats!
I took them outside, and there was no more odor near my trunk. I left them outside overnight, and a full day, then overnight again. I figured they had to be aired out by then, so I put them in the car.
I have a very unique circumstance in that, I fold one of my rear seats flat so that I can carry my golf bag in my trunk. The problem with that was, now that gasoline odor was inside the cab with me! The first day, 5 in the morning, I had to drive with my windows down!
I got home, and the smell wasn’t as strong, so I left the mats in with the windows down. The upside is that the smell is gradually dissipating, but who knows what toxic fumes can do to one’s body when inhaled in a tight space like a car, even through the trunk?
I don’t usually tell anybody to stay away from a product. As a matter of fact, in my numerous reviews on Amazon and other sites, I just tell people what I like and don’t like, and never suggest what a person should do with their money – but this one time I’m making an exception to say – STAY AWAY from this one, unless gasoline fumes aren’t a problem for you.

This is a “universal fit” mat with excellent markings for custom fit. Took me about 10 minutes to mark it for size, cut it and install it. Looks great!

This thing is very large and fits perfectly! Well, a bit bigger on the width size, I have a sedan car, but I like it very much. Thick, not cheap rubber, ribbed and grooved, to catch spills and messes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MAT!!! I mean, for under 15 bucks, you can’t go wrong, unless you like dirt in your trunk 😉🤣✌️
