My cat is super picky and had tons of hairballs, so his vet recommended he switch to a full / partial wet food diet in order to help him pass material easier and support kidney health with more moisture.
We went to our local pet store and picked one of everything that had the protein ratio our vet suggested — Blue Buffalo, Nulo, Stella & Chewy’s, Fromm’s, Royal Canin, Instinct, Tiki Cat, Reveal, Purina, Earthborn, and tons more in every flavor. We literally spent hundreds of dollars to find which brands he liked. The only ones my cat would eat are Fancy Feast and Weruva.
Weruva is amazing, but double the cost of Fancy Feast. As a result, we feed mostly Fancy Feast and supplement with Weruva on the weekend and some kibble at night.
Since switching to Fancy Feast, my cat is more active, he drinks less water since he’s getting it from his wet food, and his coat is shinier. He still has hairballs but they are fewer and further in between. witching to wet food was really intimidating for me because I was trying too hard and adding toppers, freeze dried stuff, and so much more, but now I just add water he is happy as can be.
My recommendations would be to try Fancy Feast, add a little bit of water to support hydration, and limit the number of seafood flavor cans you feed to limit heavy metal contamination. My cat loves this regiment and I hope yours does too!

My cat loves this food and the cans are just the right size. I’m getting older and it’s so convenient having this box delivered to my doorstep.

The contents seem to be about right to divide between three cats. The quality is slightly better than Friskies canned cat food and smells better. I don’t have to store leftovers that don’t seem to appeal to the cats the next day.

They will always eat fancy feast, i give it to them straight and sometimes mix it with some other food. I like the small cans – our cats can sometimes be very fussy if a can has been opened.
They also like FF medleys which is a bit more high end.

My cat absolutely loves fancy feast classic pate! Cats are obligate carnivores so the poultry and beef options is perfect for their diet. I’ve tried many other brands of wet food and we always go back to fancy feast. Would recommend to anyone!

When learning about cat nutrition, this food was constantly mentioned. It’s important for cats to be on a wet food diet as they are naturally dehydrated. When I feed my cat this, I always add a little extra water and she never touches her water bowl because it’s very hydrating. It is healthy for her digestion and teeth. Her litter box doesn’t smell, and when I sometimes have to feed her dry food, her pee and poo noticeably smells much worse on dry food. Feed your cats this if you want them to be healthy and have less of a smelly litter box!

My elderly cat could be a food critic if given the opportunity but this one product that she never turns up her button nose to! The variety is pleasing to her and she gobbles it up without hesitation. The texture is very much what you would expect from a pate and it is easy for my cat to digest. She is prone to stomach issues but has not experienced any from this food. The smell of this food is also not overly strong which with some cat foods can be nauseating. The quality of this food is apparent as my cat continues to be happy with the nutritional benefits.
