I sm a handyman so I use a lot of different tools depending on the job. This was a perfect little set to fit in my toolbag I use for small inside jobs. Got on sale so a great value compared to hardware stores.

We always wear out our common screw tips and having this set of tips in the case is nice to have in the toolbag. I only wished that the extension would have also fit in the case.

    PROS:
    – Nice set of magnetic Phillips tips
    – The slip extension is nice to hold the tips and fits securely in a 3/8 chuck

    CONS:
    – The slip extension should have fit in the case. Finding the case for the tip and then having to keep digging to find the slip extension at the bottom of the tool bag is a pain.

Quality is par, durability is great love that it’s a complete set! Magnetic strength is phenomenal, but then other dewalt pieces I have owned previously. Love that they were so cheap, and the container is a great size fits in you’re pocket easily.

You can never have enough bits or bit holders. These are quality bits and don’t round off easily like other cheap options. Might order a few more just to have everywhere that they may be needed.

Review of DEWALT DWAF2058CS 18 pc. bit set.
Summary: I’ve purchased these on sale at local hardware stores. They are not the best, particularly with impact tools. They are still quality Dewalt tools. We all have our preferences. But at $5 it’s hard to beat.
Pros: Purchased with temporary coupon/discount code bringing the price to about $5. I’ve used these in the past.
Cons: They do wear out as all commodity bits will do. So, i guess i wish they were higher quality.

For less than $8, you get 18 assorted “Apex” bits and a very unique and handy extension. Details about the bits and the extension are covered in the product specs and other reviews, so there’s no need to repeat that information here. The bits are very short and not suitable for use with my electric screwdriver as I had intended, but I have other tools with which I can use them.
I must comment on that incredibly clever and useful extension. It has a thin steel sleeve around it that allows you to hold it while the bit spins around inside, so you can position the bit precisely where you need it to be. You can also slip a long screw (like a drywall grabber) inside the sleeve so it stays straight while driving it in. This is a brilliant gadget that is worth the price of the whole bit set!
The bits are contained in a small box with a hinged lid and a sliding closure. The box is some kind of maliable plastic, but it is NOT cheap styrene that’s prone to cracking. It’s a study, high quality little box, befitting the high-quality tools inside. As many have said, the magnetic extention does not fit in the box, and that’s a shame, but hardly a deal breaker. I am quite pleased with my purchase.

Yes, the case is too small for the holder. Sure you can sorta/almost cram it in and then squeeze the top closed, but then what a pain to remove it. I used a step-drill to enlarge two corners of the case – careful you don’t go through the thin plastic. The holder can only fit a certain way in the case (even once the space is enlarged) because one end of the holder is larger than the other. Would have been 5 stars if I didn’t have to fix their problem.
