I already had an electric Rigid OT, and it worked great. But there were times when plugging it in, or running an extension cord, etc. made it a pain to use in some situation. So when I saw the DeWalt on sale, I decided to purchase it, thinking yea, really don’t need it, but it would be nice. Since this purchase, I haven’t touched my trusty and venerable Rigid once because the DeWalt can do everything the Rigid could do, but no hassle with plugging it in. The power is simply amazing, the control is solid, and my only complaint is that I should have bought it long ago. I will say I already own many DeWalt tools, so I have the 6 amp batteries that really are needed to power the OT. I did wish the LED lights were brighter.

I tried another brand of multi tool, but was disappointed in the difficulty to plug in batteries, and how fast the batteries died. I returned that tool, and for only $10.00 more, I bought this DeWalt multi tool. I own other DeWalt tools as well, so I know and expect to see quality from that brand. This tool works great, and super easy to change blades, just press lever, and insert or remove blades, such a great design. This tool only has 3 speeds, instead of like it’s brother, with 6 speeds, but there are 3 speeds to choose from on the tool body, and the trigger itself is variable speed, so you get to control how fast the tool operates. Excellent tool and value for the money.

While not the strongest, it definitely gets the job done. Solid and well built. I’m not afraid of dropping this 6′ or less. Battery life is good. Very easy to change blades which is my favorite feature. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Nice kit for an excellent price. Best of all it’s a DeWalt and uses batteries interchangeably with my other DeWalt tools. It does exactly what you would expect it to do. I had a corded multi-tool from harbor freight for years and it certainly did the job. However going chordless, and having toolless blade change is a game changer.
