our pediatrician recommended using this specific brand and our baby had some diaper rash. this was the only thing that helped it to clear up

I slathered this on an evil skin irritation — and the relief was magical and almost immediate. HOWEVER — now how do I get this thick white dense sticky glop off? It was my neck and collarbone area, so I couldn’t appear in public without looking like a clown. Soap is irritating and so is baby oil, believe it or not, but gentle circular applications of Vaseline with cotton pads will work. Be patient — this stuff is tenacious.

Personally, desitin is way too sticky for me. We got this when our baby had diaper rash and I think it worked well – it did was it was intended to do. However, we recently switched to triple paste and I like the consistency and packaging better for diaper changes. Desitin works well, but I just really didn’t like how sticky it was, and once the diaper rash went away I stopped using the desitin and switched to triple paste out of personal preference. The other thing the note is you cannot return this product. My husband and I accidentally bought 2 and now we’re stuck with what seems like a lifetime supply of this stuff. I really wish it was returnable…
