Oh, this CRAFTSMAN telescope tool is a real lifesaver! It’s like a magic wand that helps me grab screws and stuff that fall into tight spots. It’s super long when you pull it out, but it can shrink down to fit in my pocket. And the magnet on the end is crazy strong – it can pick up way heavier things than I thought it would. I have used it a ton while doing an engine rebuild on my SxS.
I’ve used it a bunch of times already, and it’s always worked like a charm. No more headaches trying to reach things that fall behind the workbench. If you’re someone who drops tiny parts like I do, you’ll want to get one of these. I had tried some off-brand tools, and they broke fairly quickly. The only thing I wish this had was a little bigger magnet face, but it is good for getting into smaller areas.

I wanted something to depan my eyeshadow palettes and this works. Seems good quality, sturdy, has not broken yet, no problems. The magnet is strong enough to depan things.

This magnet is not very powerful. And so care is required for lifting a larger/large magnetic stir bar. This, I have discovered, can be a feature rather than a bug. It facilitates my placing the stir bar in the location needed, at the center of my magnetic stirring device, where the magnetic attraction of the magnetic stirrer device strips the stir bar from this magnetic retrieval rod, leaving the magnetic stir bar exactly where it is needed for magnetic stirring to commence.

Being disabled dropping items becomes a huge problem . The magnetic telescope retriever is excellent and easy to use. It’s the perfect size for every day use and easy to carry. It performs for those hard to reach items and is durable enough for a toolbox
