I always wait to review purchases until I have been using them for more than a few months. I work in a bike shop full time and these tools get used more frequently than any other. I have sliding t-handles and P-handle hex keys but Wera always gets used. These keys hold up very well and the special shaped head they have works very well even in worn hex bolts. The only real downside I can find with this key set is how the thick sleeve on each tool makes them difficult to get in and out of the holder but that is rarely a concern given since I use them too frequently to even bother with the holder.
Personally I love the thick rubber sleeve because it actually serves a great purpose. When I have a overly tight quick release I can use the key as a lever against the frame and the sleeve prevents any scratching. The heads show no noticeable wear even after months of heavy use. I would argue the 10mm key is unnecessary for my needs as anything requiring that size bolt will require such significant force that it is simply better to use my T-handle instead or a hex bit on a breaker bar.
This is one of the very few tools which is shop worthy but also not so expensive that they break the bank for a casual user. The color coded keys are super helpful too.

Wera is well known for its high quality tools. This Allen hexagonal wrench set is no exception. I own Allen set made by another manufacturer. It is all rusty and messy. I would not use such tools anymore, because they may trigger rusting of the bolts they drive. On the other hand, Wera’s Allen wrenches are made of a harden stainless steel. This set is attracted to a magnet, so it is probably made of a high quality Martensitic stainless steel, probably precipitation harden-able, quality steel, which is used in the aerospace industry.
The set is conveniently size marked, has plastic sleeve for electrical insulation and better hand grip. The ball ends enable difficult angle applications. This set is well organized and packed, letting
everyone to keep it in order. All in all ,this purchase is a very well spent money.

Stainless is heavy but it has a nice balance and feel for the heft. No more rusty spotting.

The best L-Keys I ever owned. The quality is the best out there. Highly recommend.

I use these on the bikes and computers. Great set, I’m not sure I could bring myself to use the big ones out in the garage though.
I’ve got a few singles of these that I’ve used for years, they’re my favorite Allen keys and not showing any significant wear.

Holy cow these are amazing! I have confidence like I’ve rarely felt. I can tell if the bolt is at fault. Easy to use organizer and colors are actually just a luxury, but I love it! Plus I will have and use them for a very long time. They are heavy but that is a good thing really.

These seem like good quality wrenches, no real complaints. However, the short leg is too short – Meaning it’s hard to turn the wrench when the long leg is in the bolt.

Great hex keys. Expensive but you are paying for the quality. Definitely would buy again

I work in wet environments and the addition grip the allen hex wrenches give is perfect and being able to identify the tool before picking it is wonderful. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend to everyone.

I use these daily to work on bicycles. The Hex Plus shape is the killer feature and it’s well worth the price of admission. I have yet to strip a single bolt, where as it use to happen somewhat regularly with my old hex set. They also get marginal, damaged bolts loose that I used to find very problematic. The color-coded sleeves have really grown on me, and make me more efficient when reaching for the size I need.
Visually I cant see any signs of wear to the tool heads after many months of use.
Here are the downsides: the colored plastic sleeves are a lot wider than the toolhead itself, and sometimes they won’t reach into a long, narrow holes. For this reason, I have to keep a second set of keys on hand. The sleeves insulate from magnets really well and make it difficult to hang them on a magnetic tools organizer. The lettering on the sleeves are almost completely gone already, (but you get used to the color codes so no big deal), however I feel they should be laser etched in or something. The storage case is completely useless because it’s very difficult to slide the keys in and out. I would only use it for travel purposes. In the shop it’s useless.
Overall, I’m super happy with these keys and expect to get many years of service out of them.
