Needed to replace the el cheapo light fixture we installed over the kitchen sink when we purchased our home. As there is no wall switch I looked for another pull chain fixture but found none that seemed a good value and decided to purchase this and install the pull chain myself. It all worked out well and looks good. This fixture is by no means top quality, I would have preferred a nickel or chrome finish to the silver paint and the end caps of the bar are junk and both were cracked on delivery.

This was easy to install, and I like the adjustable arms. This was perfect for my long hallway to add light without increasing the number of fixtures.

I will start by saying a cliche phrase, sometimes big things come in small packages! After opening the package I was surprised to the size of the fixure. It was much smaller then I had thought. Of course, I installed it anyway. It was very easy to install, I put a 4 for sturdiness due to the fixture socket base being loose but was still able to adjust this light fixture tight enough. Got it in and just fyi, to my own stupidity, didnt realize it took different bulbs then my 60w regular thread in daylight style bulbs. Went and got the correct lights, the lumens I removed was 2400 and the bulbs it takes is 500 lumens 50w. Lets just say for the reveal I was damn impressed! The lights brightened up my small apartment kitchen significantly! In short I’m very happy with the my new light!

Overjoyed! What a nice light fixture, true to description yet it has exceeded my expectations. Note this is a light fixture for a smaller space. I am utilizing it in my small kitchen and it has made a world of a difference. I am using GU10 LED lights and not only is this an energy efficient solution, I am still getting great light right where I wanted. This light fixture was very simple to install and it took no time at all. The functionality of this fixture makes it worth its weight in gold. I am thrilled with my purchase and would buy another if the time and place presented itself. Installation instructions were simple and correct although I didn’t require them. Exceptional quality, value and price.

easy to install, and a decently strong fixture. May not hold up to a commercial application, where you need to frequently readjust the lamp pointing. For domestic use I think it is fine. I use a dimmer on this fixture, and rarely run the bulbs full power, so I cannot comment on heat dissipation. Running bulbs at less than full power extends their lifetime a great deal, is my understanding (though it is less efficient from an energy standpoint).

I purchased the Globe Electric 57505 Payton 6-Light Foldable Track Lighting, Painted Brass, and I’m really glad I did. I originally had fugly brown track lighting (not my choice — came with the house), and it began to short out, and actually melted a light while it was OFF. Yikes. So I needed to get a replacement, stat. This was delivered within a couple days of ordering it. While I wouldn’t say this is knock-your-socks-off beautiful, or the highest quality, it does the job, and, from what I can tell, this light doesn’t have murderous, burn-your-house-down tendencies (thank goodness). It’s very lightweight (could be a pro or a con depending on your perception), but I found this a pro since I didn’t have anyone to help install the light. Keep in mind, there are zero instructions about installation. There’s a diagram of the parts and pieces, but that’s it. And, for someone who installs a light and has to mess with electrical wires about once every 8 to 10 years or so, that means installation is a little challenging. Another thing to note, it doesn’t seem that the fixture’s orientation can be fixed to the bracket you screw to the junction box. The only way I could find to keep the entire fixture from shifting around was to screw on the decorative nuts to the cover plate. Which works, but it’s perhaps not ideal. I don’t plan on swinging from this light any time soon (or ever), so this doesn’t pose a huge concern to me. Speaking of the cover plate thing, it’s pretty small, so it doesn’t fully cover the cutout for the junction box in my ceiling. Again, not a dealbreaker for me because the room I installed this in is kind of a piece of work in its own right. But if you were installing this in a nicer area of your home, that small coverplate might not be ideal. The LED lights I got were easy to install, and it was super simple to adjust the lights to brighten up all areas of my space. I’ve seen quite a few people say the lights are too bright. I’m a light-lover, so I’m glad for the brightness. Just don’t stare up into them. They are bright. It seems this model is dimmable — you’d just need to get a dimmer light switch to make that function a possibility. Overall, super happy for the price I paid, and more importantly, for a bright light that isn’t gonna torch my house (knock on wood).

The fixture looks great, but is pretty flimsy and cheaply made. We moved it into position and adjusted the lamps very gently; thank goodness there are enough lamps to illuminate all the nooks of our kitchen, because there will be no moving this unit now that it’s installed. The base is a bit smaller that the dimensions given, it seemed, so it didn’t quite cover the ring left from our former fixture. We’ll see how long this lasts. If you’re on a budget and need something that looks decent, and won’t need to move it around … ever, then this could work for you.

I bought a refurbished one. Couldn’t beat the price. It was in the original box, although that was trashed (presumably by the person that returned it). The light, directions and hardware were all there. So far so good. But the description says “painted brass” and what you get is closer to brushed nickel. I needed bright brass. I solved that by spray painting the whole fixure (if you do this stuff or tape off where the light go to avoid coating the light contacts) and got what I wanted but the description of the colour is essentially inaccurate. It’s probably easy to install if you have 2 people (always can use someone else holding the fixture while you wire) but I got it done by myself. It uses 50w bulbs (not included) and they are really bright! I looked for something dimmer and could only find 35W in that size, not 15W (I wanted to mix wattages because the idea was to light the hall and spotlight artwork). I will be installing a dimmer switch to take down the light a few notches for normal use, with the ability to punch it up to full strength when I need to look for something I dropped on the floor, LOL.
