The light is good looking it is light and a little flimsy feeling but not flimsy looking which is nice. I have slanted ceiling in this bathroom and finding a light to fit my needs was difficult but this is the perfect fit and easy to install

This is the first light fixture I ever installed, and only my second electric DIY project ever. It was perfect for a beginner—nothing too complicated to figure out, and adequate directions. Keep in mind that the arms of the fixture are at slightly different heights because of the way they’re stacked for movement. Also, make sure you can find some shapely bulbs you don’t mind looking at, since the bulbs you use become part of the aesthetic of the fixture.

We replaced a lengthy kitchen fixture with this, and it’s fantastic. As some of the other reviews say, the instructions are WRONG – you need a GU10 light. Make sure you get LEDs (not Halogens, which will get WAY TOO HOT). Individual lights are easy to position and light fixture goes well in the room.

The light fixture itself looks neat and the movable arms are a cool idea. Each light is somewhat like a spotlight and the result is a lot of shadows, as can be seen in the picture I attached. Directing the bulbs toward the floor helps distribute more light (though it is still uneven), but then looking toward the ceiling, or just walking into the room and looking too high up, is a blinding and unpleasant experience.

This product gets really hot after only a few minutes with the lights on. The bulbs are SO hard to get into the socket. I would NOT recommend this product nor would I ever buy it again. And it was very hard to instal into my dinner room light box. Things weren’t lining up correctly.

Easy to install except for the lightbulbs……. It’s probably easier to install the bulbs first before mounting the light fixture (something I would normally never do). Very bright with the 6 50W bulbs. Needs a dimmer.

installed two of them in bathroom..very nice and bright…would recommend…..and wires do come black, white and ground…..i dont know what the other review person was gripping about. wired up fine.

The headline says it all really. But what I really liked and was unique about this light was that the electrical mounting box is offset from the center. In other words, the mounting box is closer to the end of the line of bulbs.
This is perfect if you want your line of lights, your field of illumination to extend outward in one specific direction. And the unit is not heavy so you don’t need to attach a cable to the ceiling/wall from the far end.
Lab Lover –
We purchased Monroe model because we are trying to replace an old bath fixture that has an offset box. The light looks nice, however the mounting plate cannot be secured down with any kind of screw – so there is no way to get this light to not spin on a wall! We are attempting to try to reuse the old light hardware, which is slightly wrong size, or find an alternate at the hardware store. Otherwise will be returning. Even if it was mounted on a ceiling, the light will spin with the mounting plate that they sent!
Update 1 month later- I contacted the company through the email on their website, and sent the Amazon receipt and light model number. It turns out that because we purchased the light used- like new (repackaged), the rep was able to determine that we were actually missing a crucial piece! It took 3 weeks to receive to US from Canada, but it fixed our issue and the light works now! That’s very excellent Custer service on the company’s part when it wasnt their fault that whoever sent the item back didn’t return it with all the hardware.
