How have I lived into my 30s without ever experiencing a proper froth?! This little device is life-changing. It had my milk perfectly fluffy and ready to top my morning joe. I feel like I want to gift these to all of my non-frothy friends!

I got the GreenLife Ceramic Electric Milk Frother specifically because it said it has a 10oz capacity. While that might be true, you can only make 5oz for light froth. The 10oz is only to warm the milk. That’s disappointing because my current frother can do 8oz capacity. The machine is easy to use, select the function and click start. It is extremely quiet. There is no indicating sound to tell you that it’s finished, so I have to keep checking it to see if it stopped. The non-stick ceramic isn’t non-stick and the froth had to be coerced out. There is also no spout, so it’s easy to spill. It has a very sleek design and looks nice, I just wish I could do more milk for my latte. Overall, it works ok for the small capacity.

      Customer Review

I got this because I have an electric kettle that is very similar and I use it for hot water constantly. I teach online. My longest day is 7 solid hours of teaching with only short breaks so I go through a lot of hot drinks to keep my throat/voice happy.

But sometimes I want something milk based so I wanted an equally easy arrangement. This one is it. I appreciate that I feel really confident about the materials. I’m not taking any risks using this!

It’s really easy to use. Just pour in the milk, select the setting (how much foam if it’s warm or just cold foam if you want it cold), and hit start. It stops when it’s ready.

This doesn’t make it hot, just warm, but it’s perfect for coffee or sweet milk or warm cocoa that I can drink immediately. Do trust the max fill line… I’ve gone over it and if I foam the milk, it will overflow. It gets VERY foamy!! But if you don’t want foam, it’s just warm.

Now it says to wash it with a washcloth but I’ve found that it’s easier to just add water and a drop of dish soap and run the foam setting. Then I do it again with plain water then do a final rinse. I pour the soapy water over the lid and then the plain water over the lid.

My one complaint is that the little piece that makes the foam is going to be very easy to lose and it only comes with one. I hope that I can order a replacement part. It would be nice if it came with a back up.

But that’s not a reason to take off a star or anything. It’s a nifty little appliance, works very quickly, and is frankly a lot of fun. I already have a drink area right next to the sink so I added this and that makes it really easy to wash off as soon as I’ve used it so that it’s always ready to use again!

I took a photo of the inside because I really wanted to know what the inside looked like before I ordered it but I couldn’t find a single photo of the inside. It’s really a very simple design, very similar to my electric kettle, but with a little motor attached to this this piece that spins.

Honestly, when I first saw this I asked myself, “Why would a frother need a non-stick coating?” So I walked over to my Capresso frother and peaked in. It had honestly not occurred to me that the inside was coated! So I looked up the Capresso website and it only lists “non-stick coating”. Meaning, I have absolutely no idea what toxins are in that milk frother I’m heating milk in!! How did I not notice this??

This one has a whisky piece that is plastic and feels less durable than other models I’ve used but does a great job just the same. Also, I can’t find a replacement piece anywhere on the internet, not even Greenlife’s website so that’s problematic for me. It looks to be a very new product so I’d assume replacements will soon be available.

It also has an odd lid. It’s got a silicone seal on it but doesn’t fit tight enough in the pitcher to actually need it.

That said, it warms milk nicely. It makes a great loose cold foam. It’s a great little frother.

This one is lighter in weight and slightly more compact sitting on the counter than Huogary’s similar model while the Huogary actually feels to me a little more elegant in the hand and the frother piece is easier to remove for cleaning because of the stem. The final milk product is very similar but these controls are much easier to use, the coating/materials contacting the milk are clearly labeled by the company, the instructions are written in clear English, and the company is major US based company selling at basically the same price point.

This is hand wash because the electronics are in the pitcher. I really prefer my Capresso Frother Pro because of the ease of a pitcher that tosses in the dishwasher, the low profile, and the extra storage space for the extra discs but the “non-stick” is heading out the door and this GreenLife is taking its place.

      Holiday Pink Prepper

I am a big fan of Greenlife products and have purchased some before. I enjoy ordering more when available. They come in my favorite colors and are very well made and sturdy. This frother is just as good. Always easy to use, easy to clean and performs well. Fun to do both cold and warm. I use this for desserts and chocolate drinks. One of the best. It’s also a little bigger than my other frother, so lots of froth for everyone.

The different modes on this frother was my reason for buying and it does not disappoint. The cold foam has been great for my iced lattes. It was also super easy to clean, and easy to use the handle on it makes it easy to pour. Recommend!

This works great. I added too much milk the first time I used it and it overflowed. Now I only use enough to cover the top of the stirring frothing paddle at the bottom of the canister. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and enjoying cappuccinos every day. The dense foam using whole milk was so thick it floated on top of the espresso, so I use the light foam now for the perfect cup. It doesn’t take long to prepare your drink. My only cons are that it is not dishwasher safe and on a couple of occasions a blue light started blinking at the same time as the red light next to the setting I chose. It says it has automatic safety controls to avoid overheating, but this was during the first use, not several cups. I could not find anything about a blue light in the instruction manual which is a bit worrisome. It still worked fine and did not do it the next time I used the device. I recommend it if you want to froth something quickly.
