All around geek –
I found a few of these on woot! last year but couldn’t get enough to go all the way around the house. I finally broke down and paid full price for the last strand I needed. I never pay full price for lights and try to get them on clearance.
These are a bit pricey for what you get. The connectors on a couple were squished flat and I had to try and flatten them out with pliers.
Other than that, they are great. They are so bright that they overpower any other lights we have up. You can see a green aurua emanating from our house from a block away.

Product came as expected. The only issue im running into is that about 2-3feet of rope light from one side keeps turning off or flickering when it gets moved. I have to jiggle it a bit to turn it back on. I would return it for a replacement but it’s not that serious, also the fact that i don’t want to take it down from where I put it. It eventually stays on, I’m thinking it might just be a bad connection. Overall satisfied with the product.

I got the yellow ones (5 strands I think) and wrapped them around our china-berry tree. Nice effect, low light level and they are good for moving around in the back yard at night without being a bother to the neighbors.

I use these rope lights on my deck. I ordered the green color. It is a very vivid green and nice and bright. I see a lot of people on here complaining about how bright they are…especially if they use them indoors for soft lighting in a living room. Dont buy them if thats what you’re looking for. Buy the incandecent ones…not these LED’s. Led’s will always be much brighter than incandecent ones. If you’ve already purchased them and they’re to bright…go to Home Depot and buy an in-line dimmer (about $10.00)…plug the lights into the dimmer and the dimmer into the wall outlet. Theres a slide switch…just adjust it to the brightness you want. I use these dimmers on all my rope lights to adjust the ambiance as needed. These lights are built well…I have three ropes plugged into each other and all lights work perfectly…no sections out…no flickering…no problems whatsoever. I dont understand why so many people have so much trouble with these. I have sets that stay outside all year in all kinds of Chicago weather and some are at least 3 years old and still going strong. I am happy with them and will purchase more if needed. Having said all that…as rope lights go…these are really over-priced…wish they were about $15.00 per set.

complaints and the pic of the item really made it look pinkish but wasn’t bad at all. probably not a true warm white but acceptable for our use. only had it up one day but it looks to be very durable. I forcefully traced it and wrapped it with zip ties around several 90 + degree corners and it was very flexible esp with how solidly built it is.

We live in the end unit of a 14 unit condo. We have a large amount of water seeping into a 6″ French Drain, which then flows into a 36″ culvert sunk 12′ below ground level, directly behind our home. In the past this water was pumped into an irrigation ditch which then flowed into the Yellowstone River. Brilliant minded me I decided to make use of this constantly flowing water and created a rock water falls for this water to flow over. Here is where the beauty come in. I lined the sides of the slide with this beautiful green light rope. Words cannot describe the sound and the beauty of this and the Green Rope Light is what really sets it off. Wish you could see it.

A lot of rope light for the money. ~$22 when I got ’em. Plus they dim nicely – no flicker using an Insteon plug-in dimmer module. However, even with the Insteon dimmer “off”, there is still a perceptible glow if it’s dark.

I ordered this to replace older non LED rope lights for Christmas decorations. These are very bright, and more flexible than my old lights. I wrap the columns at the front of the house for a candy cane look and these did very well. I had some difficulty connecting two strands because the female connector was slightly irregular and the male end did not fit easily. Finally got it to connect. Other than the connector issue would buy this again.

On a whim I decided to buy this Lightrope. True impulse buy if there ever was one. I really have no need for it, and at this point after having it for a while, I still am not sure how I’m going to end up using it. Ok, now that you know all that, I can tell you that this is a high quality item, nicer than I’d anticipated it being. Great color (or lack thereof, this is of the warm/clear variety) and brightness. The feel of the “rope” is nice, it seems to be tough and durable, yet has a soft flexibility to it that is pleasing to the touch. That coupled with the brightness of the lights makes this a winner. I’d give this an easy two thumbs up which is an enthusiastic buy on my purchasing scale.
