Used this all winter on the eco setting. Kept my studio at 72 degrees. Very easy to setup and to use. I don’t need to use the remote, but it’s very small and lightweight. Heater is fairly quiet. When it’s on, it’s just a slight background hum. Pretty common for any heater. Probably won’t find any that are quieter.

Paid 240 cad to get this in canada. I am disappointed with this unit. I set temperature 78F. Room temperature is 72F. It runs 1-2min then switch off Heating mode. Never ON again. Anyone help me sort this out. I only recieved yesterday oct 2 ,2021. So before cold arrives i want this sorted out. Could buy cheap heater , but i thought infrared wont burn the skin.

    Update: Amazon sending replacement

These are the things i want in this Unit for version 2.

    1. Sliders should be two axis like in the car. At present all hot air going up from down. so if you sit next to u , you wont feel hot air. I wanted hot air on legs as i work on my PC.

    2. Need separate display from thermostat to see current room temp. Because this way we know thermostat is faulty or not.

3.Prefer two thermostat so one fails and another take care. Also able to switch off thermostat( if its faulty). Able to be replaced. Better than sending unit for faulty thermostat.

    4. Alex enabled control. At present twiddling with remote. I rather say alex set in night time mode. set temp 72F.

    5. Also it should not burn skins like ceramic heater do.

Also when temperature goes down set Temp of 72 by 3 degree it switch On again. This offset should be configured so that some people may want to energy save. Some can tolerate 5 degree offset so they can save energy more.

Great heater for the price. Looks great and has great features. The remote control is awesome and I like the auto shut off feature when the room reaches desired temperature. I use this in my slightly colder than rest of house basement. Heats up quickly and has timer feature too. The eco mode is okay… it sets the temp to 72 which might not heat up area quickly so I recommend just heating up at higher setting and letting it shut off when desired temp is met. For my supplemental heating needs this is perfect. Came fully assembled just screw on legs. I love how this looks almost like decor piece. Get it.

Heater works well. It is fairly quiet and cuts on and off through the night keeping a large master bedroom comfortable. Box looks nice and the heater puts out a nice Orange light from the heating element.

The remote however is not that great. The distance it can work at is about 8 feet. Its also thin and feels low quality. There is no illumination for at night. I often have to click a button several times before the unit responds.

Would be nice to either have a better remote, or add a phone app.

I realize now literally all the reviews are vine free product reviews for this heater. That may be a reason for the rating. In short: This product may work for someone looking for a hybrid space/infrared heater but I would _not_ recommend for someone looking for a true infrared heater.

Infrared heat is about heating the surfaces (ie people) the heater is pointed at not the air itself. I thought it was odd when an infrared heater had a fan, most infrared heaters don’t use fans as the heat is transmitted as light.

Infrared heaters you can instantly feel the warmth on when you turn them on as again, not heating the air but rather the surface pointed at.

I bought this and a standard no fan infrared heater at the same time, both 1500W. The difference was night and day. This gave off far less heat even on high. In addition the fan cannot be turned off.

Space heaters heat the room, increasing air temp slowly. Infrared heaters are meant for areas with air flow turn over or where you only need heat at specific moments rather than heating the actual room. While they can increase room temp it is only as surfaces are heated and then that transfers to the air.

Product quality seems good but I wouldn’t expect this to perform as a standard tower infrared heater.
