Really like this tool set. Comes with a great selection of sockets, wrenches, adaptors, and extensions. The case is nice, but a few of the sockets do occasionally come out of their storage slot.

I really love this socket set. I’ve been a big fan of DeWalt for years and never bought full-sized set of my own. Every socket, ratchet, and extension is well-made and handles really well. The size markings are easy to read and the knurling is sufficient for a decent finger grip. The box layout is really nice and every piece stays in place when I lift the top. The metal latches are also a great addition, especially having had the smaller sets with the plastic latch that breaks after a few uses. All-in-all, this set is excellent for all of my automotive and homestead needs.

My only gripe about this purchase is that the pictures show a box of open-end wrenches along side the socket set, which made it a little misleading. I checked the Amazon box when the set arrived and couldn’t find the wrenches, which led me back to this page where I found nothing in the description for the wrenches. I guess it was obvious after reading the description but it still felt like a bait and switch tactic.

Dewalt has been my go to lately for power tools so I said why not on this set to replace some hand tools I currently have. I’m slowly updating my sockets and adding to them. This set basically has what you need for your basic mechanic needs or for some DIY projects that require sockets. The case is great too but more than likely I’ll be taking everything out to put in my tool box. If you are going to keep these in the case, just know that if you jostle the case too hard, the sockets can become loose. I had about 20 of them loose when I opened the case for the first time from shipping. Overall this set is pretty good and will get some good use out of it. Time will only tell on durability.

The design of this socket set is evidently well thought out and meticulously thorough. The carrying case is made of plastic so sturdy I’d wager you could run it over and it would be fine. Every socket necessary for automotive repair and maintenance is included, save a few edge cases. Each wrench included is not only aesthetically pleasing but also comfortable to use.

The case is very heavy at 37 pounds. However, a portable socket set is highly useful even for the automotive repair amateur. When the case snaps shut, the metal clasps feel secure and the halves connect into a seamless whole. A socket set that can fit into any trunk is invaluable if you find yourself making an emergency roadside repair, either on your own vehicle or someone else’s.

The contents of this set are extremely robust. There are three wrenches with 1/4 in., 1/2 in., and 3/8 in. drives, allowing for greater application of torque as the situation merits. The 1/4 in. wrench is useful if one needs to get into a tight spot, remove or install a small nut, or simply because it is easier to handle as compared to the larger sizes. Each wrench operates smoothly, ratcheting fluidly during use. There are small divots designed to assist with grip, which can be extremely useful if any fluids have spilled onto the wrench’s surface.

Also included are sturdy sockets ranging from 5 to 24 mm, as well as imperial sockets that go from 7/16 to 1/2 in. There are also deep sockets in the same sizes, as well as different sets for each drive. There are three sizes of extension for each drive, as well as drive size adapters. Each piece includes a clearly defined ridged area that helps with grip near its base, along with its size stamped on the surface as applicable.

One mild flaw with this socket set is the inclusion of hex or “allen” wrenches in standard sizes. These are likely included merely to pad the piece count, as sets of hex wrenches are overabundant among tradesmen. These hex wrenches do not even have ball ends, but they serve as a spare if you find yourself without any hex wrenches for some improbable reason.

Sockets for special use cases can be had in other sets, or individually. While this set would have been more complete with a greater variety of sockets, there are already sockets that will not be used often, if at all, in the set. Dewalt likely researched the most common socket sizes and managed to fit a huge selection into this kit, which will serve most use cases adequately. A set for the average person means sacrificing specific for general, expensive for cost effective, and variety for quality.

A very nice set!!! Some of them wanna fall out of the case in the case seems to be a pain in the butt, but usually they are. Still heavy duty case, and the whole kit is so worth its money. My kid is just starting to drive and Mom wants to make sure he has a good set of tools, but these are definitely good.
Not a normal mama and this one tools and been using them for years. My problem is tool trucks are too expensive so I go for Dewalt As my next choice.

This tool set has everything you would need to do 100% of normal repairs , besides wrenches. The only socket it didn’t have I needed one time was a 5.5mm for something silly under the dash. My only complaint would be the case doesn’t hold the sockets after time like when it was new. The tools are indestructible so far.

I feel like I got a steel getting this tool set. I checked Walmart online and it was $365. It looks beautiful and I’ve only got use the a couple times and the rachets were good and all the sockets are 6 point which is a must. Just hope they last.

Bought these to start working in my Honda Civic 2021 once my maintenance warranty expired after 3 years!!!! I did the front and back brakes and an oil change, I had everything I needed (other than oil pan and C Clamp). Box is a bit big though LOL

This DeWalt socket set is well worth its weight. I am so impressed with the set I hated to use them because they are so crisp and the tolerances are great. From the smallest to the largest tool the strength and durability are exceptional. To be honest I wasn’t aware that DeWalt made anything other than power tools. Had I known that fact I would have switched tool manufacturers long ago. The carrying case the socket sets came with is. unlike any other. When I open the case the tools stay in place unlike most that I have had when I opened them the upper half would fall out of place. Shipped and delivered within 5 days on time.
    Another happy purchase through DeWalt.
