I was thrilled with the “grip” and how my foundation would look when I put the make up for the first time, a bit less thrilled with the eye shadow and it was almost impossible to put an eye liner, it would clog as the layer of the base was under and would melt. But guess what, I’m wearing contacts, also I went outside and it was windy, so if you have tears or rinse your contacts, or anything, it will melt and crease and there’s no way to hold your make up. I was outside in the wind one day, my eyes started tearing, soon after my face looked like a sad clown, the foundation melted, it was so messy. The rest of my make up is waterproof, as foundation, and stay on, but as I used this as a primer, it didn’t work. So this is not for me. It’s sticky and weird to apply and once you get it you must be aware that the base of your make up is so water absorbing it will melt everything on the top.
If I don’t use any primer, I can refresh my face with wet palms or put face mist, but with this product no way.

I have always had trouble with my eyeliner lifting onto my eyelid. NO MORE! 10 hours later, everything is still in place. I love this stuff!

I wore this under concealer under my eyes during a trip to universal studios. I have pretty horrid natural dark circles under my eyes and wanted to make sure I didn’t look like a zombie that escaped from Horror Nights. I also didn’t want to do a full face because it’s universal. Not a night club. It rained and I got caught in the middle of a downpour a few times, but my makeup stayed. Even during the heat of the day before the torrential rain my makeup stayed in place. I also got soaked a few times on water rides and still, my makeup stayed.
I’ve also been wearing it under a full face of makeup during my work day. It keeps everything in place. It’s comfortable to wear and isn’t a pain to remove. I live in hot humid Florida so I feel if it works for me, it can work for anyone. I also wear contacts and have severe allergies to most of the plant life in FL, so my eyes water. But I haven’t experienced my makeup creasing or running like others have.
I have discovered that if you’re adding too many layers (i.e. a powder all over your face after adding foundation) it doesn’t hold up as well. I’ve also noticed (as I frequently switch foundation brands) some foundations don’t work well with this primer because their wearability on their own isn’t great. I’ve stuck to wearing either powder or foundation. Not both at the same time.
I use this primer in combination of the super stay liquid foundation or powder and the super stay concealer. I also use waterproof mascara and eyeliner.

I have been searching for years for something to help my liquid foundation stay all day on my oily skin. Most primers I have tried seem to make shine appear sooner than if I had only used the foundation. The instructions say to apply this to clean, dry skin and wait 30 seconds or so before adding another product. I did try that method but discovered that I can mix a pump of the primer with a pump of my foundation on the back of my hand, then apply to my face. This seems to work better than anything else for giving me lasting foundation with minimal shine, when using setting powder as the final step in makeup routine.

I was a little skeptical about how well this primer would work at first. When I got off work after a Texas hot 10-hour shift & checked my makeup, it still looked great. I also used ELF setting spray so I’m sure that helped too. But I was legit surprised at how well this stuff works! I’ve tried others that cost nearly 10x as much that didn’t come close!
I’m a total ELF convert from here out.

I use a powder foundation and this product makes the process seemless. I have great coverage and smooth look. I can definately tell the difference friom when I did not use, I felt like thefoundation just never covered anything. I highly recommend and especially for the price.
