Holds knives well

WHAT A GREAT KINFE BLOCK!
LOVE THIS! My old knife block finally bit the dust the day I ordered this one. This one arrived at my house about 6AM the next morning. I opened it and was nicely surprised at the nice packaging and the fact they not only had everything shrink wrapped but they even included the correct phillips screw driver and an extra screw in case I lost one I guess. The block was very easy to put together, took about two minutes and the magnets are very strong. It has absolutely no problem holding my knives on the counter. It has double sided magnets so I can put the lesser used knives on the opposite side of the block. The finish is very nice and is made of Accacia wood. BOTTOM LINE is YES I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYBODY.

Attractive, sturdy with strong magnet
The two sided feature saves a lot of space. I like being able to see all my knife blades for easy selection. Downside is that the back of the knife stand is less accessible unless you place the edge of the stand facing you which defeats the purpose of being able to see the knives.

Great overall, strong hold, & hefty
Easy installation. Comes with a nice little screwdriver. 3 long screws attach the bottom base to the vertical board. Once installed, it’s very sturdy with rubber feet. Hardly moves the board when dislodging knives. Board is thick and beautiful. Finish looks like it can be easily scratched over time but to be expected at this price point. If you’re thinking about storing knives horizontally, it may not fit as much as you would storing vertically. Photo I attached shows me attempting to store steak knives horizontally. I highlighted in green where the magnets are located. I did see another reviewer attach a magnetic board against the whole board in order to attach spice jars. Was annoyed to see the logo but easily fixed by facing the other direction I suppose. Overall, nice looking board to store and display knives on the countertop.

Great product!
I had low expectations about this product, but boy was I wrong! The quality of the wood is very good, the finish is very pleasing, and the magnets are strong enough to hold even my heaviest knives. I am using this to replace a traditional knife block with plastic insert.

Nice knife holder
I own some serious knives, large and heavy and small. Normal knife holders can’t accommodate the size. This magnetic holder does just that and very well. From large to small, chef knife to cleaver to paring, it holds them all securely. I like it.

This is awesome!
This is exactly what I needed. After putting my hand in my knife drawer and repeatedly cutting my finger this is what the doctor ordered, literally. It holds knives on both sides, and really holds them well. It is compact. The wood looks nice, It doesn’t look cheap. It is such an improvement over the old fashioned knife block that’s a very bulky thing and not easy to clean.

Seems Good So Far
I’ve got my new Zwilling knives on this magnetic board and I’m pretty happy with the setup.The knives stick very well to the board and you can use both sides, if needed.The wood looks nice too.One issue I had setting it up was that it was crooked after screwing in the bottom piece. I solved the problem by turning the bottom piece around and then it set in nicely.This item would be 5 stars if they had put a small lip on each side since the knives can tilt up and off the side if you don’t put them on carefully-Definitely not a dealbreaker.So far, I would recommend this knife holder over the block-style since the blade doesn’t scrape agains the wood and there’s no issue with bacteria growing in the holes of the wooden block.

Drawn to this one!
This product easily holds my entire knife collection while occupying a minimum of counter space. Solid wood construction with surprisingly strong magnets—should easily hold heavier American knives and meat cleavers with ease. The strong rubber pads on the bottom mean this thing will stay put on your countertop. Easy assembly with three wood screws and pre-tapped holes. Comes with decent Phillips head screwdriver that will definitely go in your junk drawer for later use.

All my favorite knives are easy to find and held securely to the knife block.
Previous to getting this knife block, I kept all of my knives in drawer and covered with blade protectors. My favorite chef knife was always on top and easy to find. When I needed a different knife, I had to search through the drawers and remove the blade protector to see which knife was in it.When I discovered this magnetic knife block, my hesitation in buying it was where to put it since the size of the board isn’t mentioned in the description. I did decide to purchase this knife block, and I love it. The size of the block is 12″ wide by 9″ high, and the base is 13″ wide by 4 1/2″ wide by 1″ high. So the total height of the block is 10″.The block comes with the magnetic block and base, 4 screws (1 extra), and a Philips screwdriver. I put it together in a matter of 5 minutes or so. Some reviews mentioned the screws stripped easily, but I didn’t have that problem and the block is stable. If it gets wobbly in the future, I don’t think it would be a problem to replace the wood screws.At this point, I am totally happy with this block. I have 6 knives on one side and 5 knives and a scissors on the other side. I still have some knives in drawers, but the ones I most look for are on this block. I have had no problem with the knives or the scissors slipping. You just have to make sure the tang of the knives are on top of the board and the blade is flat on the board. As you can see in my pictures, the knives on this block are much easier to find than those in the drawer with blade covers.Whether or not your knives stick well to this magnetic block will depend on the metal composition of the blades. Blades with iron and carbon steel stick very well. Pure stainless blades will not stick well as stainless has a very low content of iron. The knives I currently have on this block are Shun, Wusthof, Victorinox, Misen, and a couple less expensive Japanese knives.UPDATE 08/19/22:I have been using this magnetic knife block for about 3 months, and have my favorite knives on it. This has made finding my knives so much easier. I no longer have to search through a drawer of knives in blade protectors. I can find the knife I want to use, rinse and dry it when I am done with it, and then put it back on the block. I would honestly never go back to putting knives with blade protectors in a drawer or even using the conventional knife block. I put my conventional knife block in the donation box.UPDATE 12/12/22:I have been using this magnetic knife block for about 7 months or so, and still couldn’t be happier with it. I removed the scissors to make room for more knives, and it now holds 13 of my favorite knives. At this point in time, the block does not wobble at all, and all of my knives stay securely on it without slipping. I so love that all of my favorite knives are available to me without having to dig through a drawer.UPDATE 09/01/23:I have had this knife block for about 1 1/2 years, and I still love it. It securely holds my favorite knives and keeps them handy. Although with conventional knife blocks you can see only the handles of the knives, with this knife block, you can see the entire knife. This makes it so much easier and faster to choose the knife you want to use. At this point, it still holds my knives, keeps them handy, and I don’t have to search for the knife I want to use.At this point, I couldn’t be happier with this magnetic knife block and would definitely recommend it. I will update this review if my opinion changes.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Perfect
This holds all my knives and no more wondering what lurks within the spots for knives in traditional block.Only issue was my husband had to bring in a couple of clamps so we could get the top and bottom plate to screw in tight and flat. Once that was done, I love it and it looks really nice too.

A helpful item for cooks

Works well for medium to larger knives. Small paring knives are not completely long enough or large enough(prob surface area) to strongly stick to magnets. Luckily my knives are global so I can slide them down and use the handle as well for magnetism.

Great idea for knife storage – Don’t hesitate
I saw this and was very hesitant. I was worried about the knives falling off or not having enough room for adequate storage. We have 2 full sets of knives, one on each side of the block. This saves so much space. Especially when I threw away the other 2 bulky knife storage blocks. It is way easier to get the knives out and put them away.

It’s cool, however it seems like the magnet is on the top edges and in the center only. So if you want something on the side of it it has to be long enough to reach the center.

Convenient storage for keeping knives organized
I have a magnetic knife organizer that mounts to the wall and I love the fact that my knives are organized and within quick reach of my prep area. My son is renting and cannot mount anything like that to the wall. This one is perfect as it sits on the counter and can go with him when he moves out of the rental property. This product holds knives of all sizes on both sides. It keeps knife blades from getting damaged in a drawer. It’s cleaner functionally and aesthetically than the traditional knife block. Very handy for kitchen prep since knives can be kept within arms reach and it’s not a big chunk of wood with knives you never use collecting dust on the countertop. Perfect for someone looking for minimalist knife storage. You can even stick the handles of large serving utensils to it…not an option with a traditional knife block.

The best way to store knives in your kitchen!
I was skeptical when I first looked at this product but looks can be “deceiving”. It is very heavy so you don’t have to hold it while removing a knife, or placing one on it. Your knifes remain scratch free and healthy (always provided that you take care of them in general). Anyone that is on the fence about this product, feel safe in purchasing it. Hope this little blurb helps in your decision.

A better fit…
I ordered the larger size knife holder with the cutting board, and it was really, really nice, but too big for my counter. This one holds more knives and fits on my counter so much better. It freed up my drawer and holds the knives well. It’s really sturdy. I don’t like the color as well as the big one, but it is a much better fit.

It’s a good product- but I made a mistake assembling
This is my fault for overlooking the logo burned on the side of the vertical wood piece. I didn’t see it, and I didn’t see any holes to line up the enclosed screws. So I drilled my own holes, assembled the two pieces, and then discovered it was upside down. Oh well I thought, I’ll put the side with the upside down logo against the wall. But the magnetic part is only at the top! So I took it apart, and then I saw there are very tiny holes at the bottom where you match up with the screws that I didn’t see when I took it out of the box and inspected it. I installed it correctly, it works great, but I now have holes on top which I have to fill with wood filler. No instructions are included, so just be aware and hopefully no one does something careless like I did.

Magnetic knife block holder
What a great magnetic knife block holder. It came in 2 pieces with the screws and a Phillips screwdriver. It took less than 5 minutes to assemble with the pre-drilled holes. 10 knives and a pair of scissors all stick to the board without any problem. I can highly recommend this magnetic knife block. It’s an A+ in my book.

Great knife block
I love this! I got it after I discovered dirt building up in my knife block. This one is easy to clean and holds more knives than a standard knife block. I use both sides, and it can hold your kitchen scissors too. Very easy to assemble- it’s just two screws. I haven’t had an issue with accidentally cutting or scratching it. It holds up. I’ve had it for about 4 months now and the magnet is still strong. The only down side I’d say is it takes a minute to get used to getting a knife off a magnetic block without knocking it over. Overall I’d buy it again.
