Love the feel
I really like the feel of these dishrags. The only problem is they do get that musty smell pretty fast. I’m unfortunately you can’t bleach them. But they do the job.

Nice weight but wash before using!
These are very nice towels, both in size and weight. I purchased the red stripe with I quickly learned bleeds red. I opened only one of the three bags which I intended to gift. But having opened one bag which I put into service before washing that’s when I discovered the problem. It’s not that uncommon for red to bleed so washed 1 bag with out any other garment or towels. I thought they will be ok but I won’t take a chance washing them with other items until I know for certain.

Love these towels!
Nice heavy towels. When you dry your dishes these absorb the water. I love the dark blue stripes. They hold up in the wash and don’t wrinkle out of the dryer.

Finally found them!!!
I’ve been searching for this dish towel. Everywhere I looked had terry or thin cheap fabric. Or waffle weave. These are the perfect weight. Lint free and wash beautifully. I’m getting another pack to make sure I have backup.

Everything about them is perfect…
I bought these for the red color, and an all cotton woven tea towel…light drying for dishes after the dishwasher finishes, and I must say I am thrilled. First let me answer some of the other reviews. The towels are woven, which is what I chose, meaning, you cannot have the design on both sides…you only get that in a printed towel or material. Weaving means, the thread is dyed first, then woven. I cannot speak to the complaint of threads hanging…not on mine…mine were perfect. I can speak to wrinkles…cotton, especially good cotton, wrinkles in the dryer. Hang them wet on the oven handle, they will dry as if they were ironed. Now, the MOST important part…I wash my towels, especially anything I use in the kitchen in hot water, bleach, baking soda and dry them in the dryer…on Max heat! Not one bit of the RED color ran or faded. Maybe I got lucky, but you cannot tell one of the towels that has not been washed, from the two that were washed…in BLEACH and hot water, etc! I bought two more sets…in case Amazon stops offering them! Hopefully, they will last until I die! (Good chance of that, I am 80 now!)

Good for drying hands after washing dishes
I hang these on the oven and dishwasher handle. They are fairly soft. They would work well for a bread basket to keep bread or muffins warm on the dinner table. I don’t really use them for cleaning. They are a nice long size and also have a label at the corner to hang them from. The color is a nice navy and the pattern isn’t kitschy but altogether the pattern is classic it also seems modern. So far they wash well although it’s best to wash towels every evening or two. There’s no lint.

These do absorb moisture around your kitchen sink
These Urban Villa kitchen cloths get five stars for truly being absorbent. My last order of kitchen cloths (the Choicy microfiber cleaning cloth) were microfiber, and despite their claims of absorbency all they did was spread liquids/moisture around on my countertops, without absorbing much at all. Those are now being put to use as throw-away rags (greasy things, paint, caulking motor oil, etc).These dish cloths were 12 x 12 inch squares before I put them into a dryer, where they shrunk to 10 x 10. The shrinking didn’t bother me at all, since (1) a ten inch square is plenty large for wiping-up around the kitchen, and (2) being advertised as 100% cotton, I expected them to shrink, and cotton is what makes these absorbent. If you prefer the 12 by 12 size, search for cotton towels that are either pre-shrunk, or ones that are 14 x 14 out of the package. Or simply line-dry them instead of putting them into the dryer.I personally won’t be putting them in the dryer again, since the one thing I didn’t like about these is that they come out of the dryer pretty wrinkled-up, to the extent of being difficult to fold & neatly place in your towel drawer (those pictures on the product page where they are perfectly folded: do NOT expect them to look like that for long). I’ll hang-dry mine from now on to avoid this problem, since I’m certainly not going to waste my time ironing them!Lastly and speaking of line-drying, another great feature of these is that they are relatively thin & thus they dry quickly. Prior to ordering the aforementioned microfiber product, I’d found a set of six small washcloths at a local discount store. Those were also 100% cotton and were absorbent, but I was NOT happy with them at all, because they stayed wet for WAY too long. Perpetually moist towels are useless in my kitchen, since they will start stinking prematurely, and why even bother cleaning anything with a stinky rag. These Urban Villas, on the other hand, should be durable; when you use, rinse, wring-out, and hang them over the edge of your kitchen sink, they will be dry when you come back to them later.These are super functional kitchen rags. They are so absorbent and quick-drying that some inconsequential wrinkling is nothing I’d ever rate these downward for. At the 12 dollar price point for 8 of them, I would definitely purchase them again (these towels were NOT being offered on Vine, so I did actually buy them).

Thick enough to use for retrieving things in the oven, very absorbent. These are the most perfect kitchen towels I’ve ever had in 55 years of kitchen life. So many cotton towels aren’t absorbent and aren’t thick enough to grab to get a half-pan out of the oven.

Gray color not accurate
As far as softness and absorbancy, these towels are fantastic. However, the grey stripe is more of a brown/taupe color. I would definitely buy again, just in a different color.

Good size
I like linen dish towels and it can be hard to find anything that isn’t microfiber anymore. I like the design and they are true to color. They did have a small smell when they arrived but it washed out easy. They are thinner than I was hoping for but they aren’t thin thin. They absorb well and dry pretty quickly.

size of a small bath mat. may cut in half and make two out of one. thought they might shrink but they did not. they seem to be of very good quality even though i have not used them yet. in general i would be extremely happy the way they washed up, no shrinking or mismatched seems but like i said they are very large

Great Towels!
I really like these towels. They’re soft and big and very absorbent, which is just what you want for drying the dishes. They’re a lot better at not building up any clingy staticky extras so I don’t find many hairs left on them after I wash — because with cats, that can be an issue and why I often use paper towels to dry things if I need to dry something. They are white with blue stripes, so they can stain if you get any staining kind of food products on them, but the stains come out pretty easily like they do if you use stain removing products, for the most part.

Great dish washing cloth
Has a good waffle texture that helps in cleaning dishes. I bought to replace some dish cloths from a high end kitchen store (initials WS) that I had for 25 years. These are definitely worth the price. These are comparable to my prior (very expensive) dish cloths. Only complaint is they tend to shrink when washed but they expand again when they get wet in dish water again.

Absorbent
I wanted cotton cloths because they easily absorb any liquid and are great for cleaning up after cooking. Some kitchen rags that are made with acrylic fabrics don’t absorb well lea streaks. Cotton shrinks in the dryer, so expect shrinkage, or air dry if that’s an issue for you. This was the shrinkage after one cycle. It probably won’t shrink much more. But I love the texture after the first wash & dry!

Functionally, these are the best kitchen hand towels
I use these as kitchen hand towels. They’re 100% cotton, have a classic design, and are absolutely the best kitchen hand towels I’ve ever used at their primary function of absorbing water (which is saying something because I’ve used a lot of kitchen hand towels in my 78 years). And for some reason that I can’t determine, they don’t hold stains from berries, chocolate, tomatoes, etc. Unlike every other kitchen towel I’ve used, a little spray n wash on stains before laundering and they look like new. Also, they don’t wrinkle; even the seams don’t wrinkle. So functionally, these are 5-star plus kitchen hand towels.I rated them down one star for their look and feel. The weave is loose and coarse; they feel soft but also coarse. And there are a number of flaws in the fabric.Bottom line: the best kitchen hand towel I’ve ever used, but they look and feel a little cheap.
